7-9 will be the record of the 2016 Saints.

I don't care if they play cupcakes in LA, DET, @TB, @AZ, TB and a meaningless game against @ATL.

This team just can't close.

They can get close.

But they can't close.

Sean Payton, I love you and thank you for winning us a Super Bowl, but your IHOP menu isn't working anymore. Move on.

I was just looking at a raiders article thinking about how we've hung with some of the better teams. Still as said we can't close and I'm not for the morale victories anymore it's about time some results be shown or you show Payton the door out.

Probably. Just go off of recent history, this team is no better than 8-8 or 7-9. Without Brees this is a 3-4 win team.

At best.

I don't see how this team goes .500 the rest of the way.

Why? It's really not that much of a stretch. It's not like we're getting blown out when we lose(besides Atlanta). It usually comes down to the last drive, a call by the refs, or a FG. We're not that far off.

This team has had some pretty bad luck. We would have a good record with some good luck. It's not like we're losing to bad teams.

All 5 of our losses outside of a 6-4 Atlanta team(Snead, Davison, & Vaccaro out) have been VERY close & we've had a ton of injuries:
Raiders(8-2) - 1 point loss & they went for 2 at the very end. Breaux gets hurt.
@Giants(7-3) - 3 point loss at the very end. Qustionable calls by refs. PJ williams gets hurt
@Chiefs(7-3) - 6 point loss. In the game, lost at the end. In a position to win with a game winning drive until Fairley body slammed Spencer Ware.
Broncos(7-3) - 2 point loss. Blocked Extra point returned for 2 points & 4 turnovers(3 by Michael Thomas). We outplayed them.
@Panthers(4-6) - 3 point loss. Blocked FG returned for a TD(10 point swing). Gave up 3 points in the 2nd half. Our defense embarrassed their offense.

It just so happens that we drew the best division to play against...the AFC West. 3 close losses & a close win @SD.

The win against Seattle was a great win & we dominated them after the 1st quarter(I'm not an advocate of the transitive property, but they did beat the Patriots). Dominated 49ers in the 2nd half, scored 41 on Carolina, and came from behind to beat the Chargers in San Diego. This is a middle of the pack team/a little better than average team in the NFL(we beat the teams that we should beat & it comes down to the wire against good teams). We should be better next year & could easily be one of the best teams in the NFL with another offseason like this year. More good luck than bad luck would also help.

Rams(4-6)
Lions(6-4)
@Bucs(5-5)
@Cards(4-5-1)
Bucs(5-5)
@Falcons(6-4)

I think we go anywhere from 2-4 to 4-2. Maybe 5-1 with good luck. None of these teams are easily better than us. We can hang with all of them. We can actually hang with any team in the NFL and have proven it this year. We couldn't say the same thing the last couple of years.

I like how we lose by a close one to the Super Bowl Champs and a close one on the road to a division rival, and now we can't win anymore games against bad teams. Our fans are so damn one deminsional. We suck! We're great! No inbetween with us.

Ever looked at the scores around the league this year? Being close in an NFL game is nothing special.

I don't know what the hell the Saints will do anymore. Seems the D is better. Last time I posted I thought they would win a couple and then disappoint.
