I've been way more supportive of Sean Payton than most in the past few years. But now I see what others on this board have been saying for a while now. The Saints are soft, mentally weak, and have zero momentum as a franchise. If there isn't some major improvement in wins next year the entire crew including Loomis, Payton, and Brees should all go. Blow it up start over.

Disagree. The seasons since 2009 show us all we need to see (and more).

2017 is the make or break. This team has gone through a rebuild over the last few seasons and things have remained respectable.

This off-season needs to be a huge success so you have a two year window with Brees at QB.

The D has improved this season, cap space will be available to fill some holes. I sure hope they can put it all together.

This is the most successful regime in Saints history by far. I have more faith in them completing the rebuild than I do in having the stars align again like they did in 2006.

I've been saying this for a while now. If next year isn't any different...CSP needs to go.

Good news is that if he goes...so does Vitt, McMahon, & Johnson. Bad news is that I'm not even sure Benson will get rid of Loomis.

It might be. I'd rather give him one more year though. I realize that some want him gone and you really can't be blamed for having that opinion.

Theyll suck worse next year.

This team has a stale coach, an aging QB, a crappy defense, possibly the worst front office/GM in the league, and is increasing speed in the wrong direction on a daily basis.

I think they bottom out next year with a 2-14/3-13 record and we get a new everything for 2018.

We shouldn't based on how much money we have to spend. The only way that happens is if Brees has a year like Payton Manning had last year...or if the FO signs shitty FA's and drafts shite players.

A good offseason is the only way to turn it around. One thing is for certain...everyone on this board will have the same opinion after the 2017 season. Whether or not CSP stays or goes...it will be blatantly obvious to ALL on this board

I disagree with them being worse next year. They made nice FA signings and the younger guys will improve. Rankins, Thomas, bell... nice picks. I see no reason at all why they'd be worse next season. Good drafts and smart signings point to improvement

I really don't want to give Payton another year. But from a talent perspective this team is pretty close. Looks like our draft is money

Yep. We're a very young team that should improve next year to go along with our new additions. Like I said earlier, the only way we're worse is if Brees falls of a cliff or our FO fricks everything up.

Are you even watching this team? Even if Brees goes back to playing like 2009 Brees, we still have no defense, no offensive line, and no running game.

We have chance to improve that this offseason with Brees on the team. Without Brees we might win 3 games next year. At least Brees gives us a chance.

Or we can just blow it all up and take a QB in the 1st round this draft. That's the only other option. That or sign some borderline starter/backup in F.A. We're guaranteed to suck next year if we do that though.

Didn't we just give Payton an extension? NFL coaching contracts are not like college contracts, you terminate a coach you still have to pay out a contract. I think it would have to be a Cleveland Browns dumpster fire for them to fire him next year.

Who's going to blow it up? The owner is senile and doesn't have a clue to what's going on.

Why is Loomis still employed?

It all starts at the top.

BTW, LSU and the Saints are duplicates of each other. Weak leadership at the top.

Hebert saying playoffs or bust next year for Payton and Brees. First time I've heard him this pissed at them. Even last week he was saying we're still in it. As he says "it's what have you done for me lately".
