First off the Saints didn't have a "dominant" defense their Championship year. They were ranked 20th ,but what they did really well is create turnovers. We do not need a dominant defense with our offense though it would be nice to have. You need a Defense that doesn't give up an average of 28 points a game and can generate a few turnovers for this offense, in other words pick your spots. Drew Brees throwing for 5K+ yards is pretty on the stat sheet ,but I rather 4600 to 4700 with a Defense generates turnovers and will allow us to play from the lead to chew the clock up at the end of games.

Let me be more direct, the 2017 Saints D will have more turnovers than the Superbowl champs. Still have to wait for the season to play out to prove it, but all the important pieces are there to apply the pressure at LB, DB and DL.
