I was front row, 40-yard line behind the Rams bench. Coolest game I've ever been to by far.
Sweet. Definitely one of my happiest moments as a Saints fan.

That was the first game that I went to that wasn't a preseason game. I was 12, and I went to that game with my dad. We sat in the corner of the endzone where Hakim dropped the ball. We had so much fun that we decided to get season tickets. We only missed 2 games in the next about a decade. It is a special game for me.

Anybody remember when Bobby Hebert was the Saints QB? The Saints had some good linebackers in those days.
Payton Manning's uncle used to play for the Saints too, but I think he got traded by Mike Ditka.

We beat St. Louis last game of the year to go to the playoff and beat them for our first playoff win? I remember.
Lost to them in week 17 and then won the next week in the playoffs. We beat them earlier in the year in St. Louis after mounting a big comeback.

I remember 2004 needing to beat the sorry arse Bengals to make the playoffs and we couldn't. They won 2 games that year

LSU played in the Peach Bowl vs. Ga Tech. Rohan came in. We won. Partied, then drove back for the home playoff game against St. Louis in the dome. Hakim dropped the ball. We partied some more (to be young.)
Same here. Watched at my brothers place with everyone who was going to the saints game the next day.

That was the season that I became a Saints fan, before that I was a Broncos fan because my dad was and the Saints were awful in the years before that.

For me most of the seasons from Mora's last year up until 2006 just run together. But I vividly remember this season in particular. It gave us hope for what we could accomplish
When Hakim dropped the ball I just remember the Dome literally shaking. I hadn't felt that ever

Yeah man. I was somewhere in the lower terrace near mid field and it was bouncing. Literally. I was also bouncing when, I think it was Willie Jackson, caught a wide open TD. This was right before the rams made the comeback and we thought it was in the bag.

This may be my favorite Henderson call -- as great as "Pigs have flown" is, it was obviously prepared. Henderson had no clue this was going to happen and you can hear the spontaneous joy in his voice.
You don't hear it in this clip, but Henderson went on to talk about how the Saints "have taken a lot of crap from the folks upriver", and that payback was a pleasure.

Great times. Haslet was the man, we had a bright future ahead of us...or so we thought.

FIFY
*The first openly-gay player in NFL history.
His name was Willie "Needs" Manning.
He was originally a tight end I heard.
