1986 Draft

Earlier today I was randomly browsing the 1986 NFL draft and I noticed the Saints really hit the jackpot on the first three rounds. It may have been the best first three rounds in Saints history.

1st round (6) Jim Dombrowski
2nd round (31) Dalton Hilliard
3rd round (57) Rueben Mayes
3rd round (60) Pat Swilling
Of course this was also Jim Finks first year as Saints GM.
Also, zero players from the entire '86 draft has made the Hall of Fame.
