Remember when we started off 0-2 and all the fair weather fans were freaking out.
#firepayton #fireloomis #tradedreweventhoughhecantbetraded #tankforhighdraftpick #ourdefensesucks #defenserankslastagain #wantingtowearapaperbag

Now we are 3-2 and above .500
We've won 3 in a row
We're 2nd place in our division to a team we've beat head to head
We're looking pretty good on defense
We're running the ball more efficiently

Crow eating time, you know who you are

Don’t overseason the crow, just salt and pepper, cook it low and slow

It is nice to be at 3-2. Still need to get to 5-3 or 6-2 to make a serious run.

I however am checking in. I never doubted the players. I doubted the coaches.

frick your crow..

I never melted here or IRL, but to be perfectly honest, I was pissed

We lost the first two games the same exact way we lost games in the previous two seasons.. I saw no change and I damn sure didn’t see any improvement.

I never gave up hope though. The last three games have been full as hell to watch

I think you have some crow to eat.. 108.3 servings of it in fact (that’s Drew’s QBR FWIW)

I will say I doubted Dennis Allen's willingness to change scheme. The scheme we ran the first two games was not what we were excited about from the preseason.

After the 0-2 start, I saw a 5 win season if they didn't turn things around. They have turned things around and got healthy on the O line finally.

However, we've seen this team do this where they win a few and then lose a few and go 8-8 or 7-9.

They have a decent slate of games ahead of them that could have them sitting at 6-2 and looking pretty good. Let's see where we are in 3 weeks before we discuss anyone eating crow.

Can we leave these threads at the Rant?

There wasn’t too much to be hopeful about after the first couple games. I think there was at least a general consensus that we perhaps weren’t a dumpster fire...but it didn’t look so good.

Given the last few season and the fashion we lost our first two games in, who honestly could sit there and be optimistic about the season's outlook?

Definitely glad to see the D start playing with a fire under their belt. They remind me of our '09 defense. Aggressive, getting turnovers and scoring on a lot of them.

It's still a long season, we're barely past the 1st quarter of it. But if our D can consistently play like that there's nobody in the league we can't beat

That does not account for his performance today.

I want Drew to light it up every week. I don't take pleasure in his failure. He simply is not the same physically from one week to the next. I really do believe he's got a nagging shoulder injury. Week 1 he was throwing with great velocity. Today it wasn't the same and it wasn't there in London either. He can still get the job done but the decline is real and understandable. He's getting up there. I'm sure he will bounce back

I'm here to eat crow. I was shocked at how awful the team played in the first two games.

I am now shocked at their rate of improvement. They are working very hard.

It's clear to me that Brees has laid down the law in the locker room and he has demanded 110 percent from everyone.

Wow

Just wow

He had a bad 1.5 quarters for his standards. It happens, see Brady vs the chiefs

He's been outstanding this season. Arguably the best in the NFL

Oh yeah, he's leading the NFL in deep passing

I'll admit I was throwing in the towel after the first two games solely on how bad the defense was. The improvement is remarkable and I guess the preseason defense was legit.

I'm curious as to what made this change happen, it can't be just Crawley for Harris?

This plus the fact we are letting Lattimore play man coverage. He is ELITE man to man. A zone scheme fits Breaux and I can see us playing a mix when he returns but in the preseason we ran primarily man and did well.

The Vikings game was the worst zone defense I've ever seen. It was almost like we hadn't been running it all preseason.....Theilin sat in the same damn hole for 150yds!

Glad Allen got his head out of his arse. I believe the "conspiracy" regarding him, Aaron Glenn, and Harris aTm connection getting him the start. There was just no excuse for him to be on the field!

While I love what we've seen so far and getting our heads above water feels fricking great, I don't think it's time to be serving crow just yet.

This team has to make the playoffs. Do that and I'll do a back flip into a tub of crow.
