They need this regardless of how they feel about Davis/Anderson.

Two paths for the frontcourt:

If they think Ryno/AD can work in crunch time, they dont need a star, just someone willing to board and bang 25 MIN every night.

If they dont think that pair works, then finding a big money C makes sense.
