Sean Miller would be above some of the names in this thread for me right below Thibs/Cal.

Sean Miller isn't on the list.

You can't be serious about Cal???

Mike Malone is a really good name for this group. I would seriously consider a GM change on top of this. I am buoyed by this decision as a sign that this ownership understands we need to hit it now with AD here and not flounder around for the next couple of years. I would love a Houberg or Thibs but we'll see.

I can see why people would be hesitant, he is not the best X and O guy, but he is a coach who is aware of his capabilities. He would make sure to have premier assistants helping while he focuses on what he does best, being a charismatic leader.
And like they say, it's more about who you know than what you know. His influence amongst the league now is really really strong, he is tight with WorldWideWes who has major influence across all levels of basketball.
Between that and having the 2 best players on our team being disciples of Cal...we would be putting our franchise in a strong position going forward.

Fletcher really wrote a blog midseason that if we were to replace Monty, she would be his choice.

It *would* bring attention to the team - and probably put butts in the seats.
