If Gordon stays healthy it's Gordon. Even if AD leads the way on defense Gordon being the closer will get him the credit for winning games. Who was the last defensive minded player that was really viewed as a star? Mutombo? No one say Iggy because if he didn't score as well as he did he'd be considered on the same level as Ariza.

If Gordon doesn't stay healthy it will probably be Ryan Anderson.

Dwight Howard.. 3 time defensive player of the year in a row

I'm hoping for it to be Rivers.. I'd love for him to fly under the radar, put up a 15-5-5 line and steal ROY. But it'll probably be AD..

18ppg makes Howard a star star, not a defensive star. Other than an anomalous 16ppg his rookie season, Mutombo averaged as many or more rebounds than points the rest of his career. Tyson Chandler would be closer but he's not quite star level.

It will be EG is he stays healthy, as others have said.

He will score points and is a decent defender, and will be the one closing out games.

If Rivers plays THAT well, then this is a playoff team.
