do y'all believe he will play monday versus the hawks? plan on going to the game with a bunch of my friends from Atlanta so I'm hoping AD is able to play to help us take them down.

Probably not. They will rest him extra time just so he doesn't make it worse.

Unless we freaking tank, they might let him rest until after the All-Star break

One thing Monty has done well despite his job being on the line, is not push injured players. Winning both vs. OKC is more useful than splitting with OKC and winning 1 of the Clippers/Hawks game. I say let him rest so he's ready to put OKC 3 more games behind us.

These next games before All Star break are crucial thou. it seems that good players and good teams step their sh*t up after all star break.

which means OKC are about to go off after all star break and Suns just keep winning

All I'm saying is we're fighting OKC for the last playoff spot, so if I HAD to go 2-2 over this stretch because AD needs rest, beating the team chasing us twice (effectively thrice since we'd get the tie breaker in the process), is more important than beating a team at the top part of the playoff bracket and a team from another conference that you didn't have a good shot at winning at full strength anyway.

He is defiantly going to rest Friday, which sucks for the SKC because AD vs CP3 was their marketing point with the two billboards and etc.

However you are correct. we would probably lose this game with AD so just rest him Friday and hope he returns against OKC

I don't get why he would sit? He came back in last night and looked fine.

OKC Wednesday is probably the date they have circled.

He probably could play, but Monty has been cautious to not let small problems become bigger problems.

quote:

''The only way he was going to get back on the floor is if the doctors said he wasn't going to aggravate it more,'' Williams said. ''But as I saw him getting up and down the floor, after a few minutes of playing, I didn't see the normal burst that we know A.D. brings every night.''

Williams said he will want to see that usual ''burst'' in pre-game warm-ups before putting Davis back in the lineup.

''There's no need of putting him on the floor if he drags his leg,'' Williams said. ''I don't think that helps him at all and certainly prolongs the healing process.''

Doubt it. He played last night because of his adrenaline. I am sure this morning he really felt the pain

J.J. Redick is listed as questionable for Clippers' game against Pelicans on Friday but will try to play.

This would help, although it probably just means Rivers has a career night.

LAC and ATL are quality teams that we have a 50/50 shot of beating with a healthy AD...we lost to both already.

I honestly would prefer to sit him out until OKC where we've shown we can beat them with a healthy AD even when they're at full strength. I agree that those two OKC games are vastly more important.

Honestly I thought the same thing. It looked liked he got nut checked and because of that he feel awkwardly. I am hoping it was only a nut check and we have him on the injury report so Doc will have to strategize against us without AD. But BAM!!!!! AD plays and out rebounds Jordan and Griffin
