boredom is why i'd tune in from time to time but it seems like everytime i play, we're playing like dogshit. Very frustrating.

I'll tune in to see if they are putting Gentry's system together, to see AD play, to see how he and Jrue mesh.

That's about it. And I'll probably only watch about 25-30% of the time.

we have one of the top 3-5 players in the NBA playing for our team

didn't down vote at first then when i saw this i had to drop one on ya

That smells like Jealousy to me. The "team that will not be mentioned" can't boast the same.

Even if you don't think he's top 5, which is fine, he's not far off.

The teams management has been embarrassing

What's more important, the thread to be 'on topic' of for people to realize that there's more to being a top 5 player in the NBA than a box score and that you gotta have leadership skills and make your teammates better skills to be truly elite in this L?

I'm gonna bite because I'm bored in this traffic.

You have two "elite" guys that are both "leaders" yet you're barely hanging on.

Where was Harden's leadership at 22 years of age? Even KG wasn't that kind of "leader" in year 4 much less at 22.

Hardens first year leading a team he took HOU to the playoffs and the next best players on the team were:

Yr 2 Chandler Parsons
Omer Asik
Jeremy Lin

Now THAT my friend is leadership. Making your teammates better by your presents alone. See Asik falling off a cliff without James to get him a couple easy dunks a game on PnRs.

Well this hasn't been either of their best years, Just like a player can have a down year shooting the ball they can have a down year with their intangibles too.

45-37;.549 (year prior 34-32;.515 -> 42-40)
Parsons: 76 games; posted 15.5/5.3/3.5
Asik: 82 games; posted 10.1/11.7/0.9
Lin: 82 games; posted 13.4/3.0/6.4

Parsons was a 2nd year player who came off a solid rookie campaign and improved his play and continued to play solidly

Asik was a bench center behind Noah in Chicago, still put up good numbers in 15 minutes. First year as a starter, his numbers increased as well.

Lin was coming off that hot Linsanity year and pretty much posted up the same stats in Houston as he did in NY

Now compare that to AD's situation right now and his "predicted starting team"
58 games played:
Starting PG: 25 games, injured most of the season
Starting SG: 42 games, injured
Starting SF: 0 games, never played a game this year
Starting C: 48 games, injured to start the season and minute restrictions
Bench PG: 52 games, minute restrictions for half of those games
Bench PF: 56 games, stepped up all season.

Too add onto all of that, his SF all season has been an off the streets guy, 14 games was with a D-league SG, and 41 games (19 starts) with a PG that was 3rd on the depth chart.

Obvious is obvious. Unless your name is LeBron, you can't carry a shitfest of a team alone. Not a single person wouldn't swap out any of our players this year for any of Houston's 2012 squad.

And for all of Harden's "leadership" his first year at 23, he improved their win % which would be equivalent of a grand slam of "3" wins. The year prior, they missed the playoffs by 2 wins (36-30 Utah). The first year with harden, they made the playoffs by 2 wins (43-39 Utah). But lets dismiss the fact that he had an actually half way decent group of guys playing with him.

He was alpha-dog, but its not like he took a team from 33-49 to 53-29.

I'm a season ticket holder. I've been a Saints fan for about 15 years now, I know heartbreak and sticking with a team through thick and thin, so this is nothing new.

Maybe you want to go to Spurs at Pelicans tomorrow and maybe not, but what if I told you it's Pelicans Fanny Pack giveaway night?

Also, if fanny packs aren't your thing, Tag Team is performing "Whoomp! (There It Is)" tomorrow at halftime of Spurs-Pels, and yes really.
