What about Pau Gasol?

I mean I doubt we even interview him but he opted out with the Bulls. Would you want to sign him?

I'd be shocked if he doesn't go to San Antonio, honestly. Especially if Tim Duncan is seriously considering retiring.
I think he still wants to be a starter and I don't think we can invest anymore money at the Center position. He'd be a major offensive upgrade over Asik and a smarter defender (not necessarily better) than Ajinca. Gasol's defense is shite laterally, but he has typically done a decent job in the post.

He would be great but I would say at age 36 he wants to compete for rings. So San Antonio, golden state, and don't rule out cavs.

It'd give me a full on chubb. We could run the triangle with Pau-Asik-Tyreke
The Cavs just paid $54 million in luxury tax. I'd be ok with paying $3-4 mill in luxury tax if it meant we had a semi-contender in the playoffs next season via Pau's services. AD-Pau up front would shite on everybody, except maybe the vaunted Mozgov-Randle Lakers lineup of death they're putting together.

How would we even pay him?
