[]David West has agreed to terms with the Spurs for the veteran minimum. He is going to leave about $11 million on the table to join the Spurs. Madness. Anyway, the Spurs have essentially swapped out Tiago Splitter and Aron Baynes for West and LaMarcus Aldridge for their frontcourt rotation. West is almost certainly going to see his 28.7 minutes per game from last season take a hit, so his fantasy value will suffer. He'll be asked to step up on the nights Tim Duncan gets a DNP-OLD. As for the reality side of things, the Spurs look really good. Source: David Aldridge on Twitter Jul 6 - 4:27 PM[/] LINK

Tyson Chandler and David West might both get rings before CP3 even makes the Conference Finals.

Good move for him. He may get his ring and extend his career. He obviously left money on the table but he may have extended his career because his minutes will be more limited. I love me some D West.

Good move for him. Probably extended his career with decreased minutes and it helps Duncan too.

Also, it's not like the Spurs need the extra motivation, but West will not be complacent and is going to push that team harder than they already do. Scary roster.

This division is stacked. We still have the best player in it though.

I don't see where the use of a fricking exclamation point for that makes any sense on this particular board.

As I've posted more than once, I'm conflicted. Although the Spurs stabbed me in the heart in 2008, I still admire the organization and the coach. I pull for them if we're out of it.

They very well might be but at what point does the age of that team with the big 3 start showing?

I used to loathe them, but you can't help but respect that organization

I cant see CP3 making conference finals any time soon...as long as he is with Clippers.
