Yeah. Which is why everyone in this thread was excited. I just reread it and no one said anything about Withey being a "legit 5" or that he was going to be some major player at center this season.

Fair points. We'll have to see how much he can give the team down low. I may be a bit skeptical, but im happy to be wrong.

I'm excited to get Withey. With us having to dump Lopez' contract, I think Withey is about as good as we could have hoped for. A young 7 footer with great defensive potential.

As a die hard KU bball fan this is way off. Withey is more talented on D and O. He's not clumsy for a 7footer. Actually is very athletic. Soft hands and can finish. Great rim protector and can knock down free throws. He will be great for us.

He doesn't have those outstanding athletic measureables like Len, and not the upside.
But he's a really smart defender, not just a big shot-blocker. He's good on all facets on D.
