@MikeAScotto
Sources: Pelicans are listening to trade offers for Tyreke Evans and gauging his value. He is on the books for $10.2 million next season.

Couldn't find a way to check what his sources were so I have no idea how true this is.

Either way, What teams would want him? Orlando for some combo Payton and filler? Brooklyn needs guards. Washington is struggling and they're in win now mode with Durant looming. What do y'all think?

They trade one PG who can't shoot for another? Nah, he does not fit with Oladipo either.

Scotto is a Sheridan Hoops guy so grain of salt, but most people seem to respect his information more than Sheridan himself.

People called BS on the rejection of Ryno for Gay, but then Woj reported that Pelicans were trying to offer Gee/Gordon for Gay, so it seems like his reported rejection of Ryno for Gay could be accurate.

Destinations I could see:
Boston
Chicago
Toronto
Utah
Knicks
Pacers
Nets

I wish his knee wasn't so bothersome. I think the recent issues with that will dent his value, though he is only on contract for one more year so it won't be terrible.

Daily reminder: NBA teams "listen to offers" on every player and always have, always will. Thanks.

While that is true, I think the team may letting it be known that they actively want to trade Evans as opposed to just listening to offers for Evans.

I think the team knows that if it falls out of the playoff race before the deadline they need to make some moves. Also, I'd assume one of the teams they're talking to is Utah. You don't trade Tyreke to Utah if you're trying to make the playoffs. If you've given up on the playoffs, they might give you a decent return.

Yeah his contract is gonna be a good deal next season with this cap. He's just a hard player to find a landing spot for that we don't get shite in return. I'm not asking for the world, I just want a player on a rookie deal or a mid to late first.

Maybe the pacers for Solomon Hill and Stuckey. Stuckey is on a 7 mil per year deal for 3 years (2 more after this one) and would be the type of contract you could afford for a spark off the bench. And hill has another year on his rookie deal

Or Utah for their pick. They seem to really want the playoffs this year and need some kind of backcourt facilitator for when haywards not in the game, he's taking on way too much of the playmaking duties on that team.

I'm big on trying to double down on this draft just do to the contract scale pre CBA negotiation and the fact that these guys from this draft or the past couple will be stuck on this team (if we want them to be) when AD is up for another contract is big to me. I want him to have some Boys he's not gonna want to just leave hanging. So I'm always gonna prefer any kind of pick in any deal

Payton isn't a notorious ballhog.

Pretty gloom and doom article from The Bird Writes, but I can't say I disagree

It is fear mongering with the non-sense about the team moving, but I think the moves that are made this year will ahve impacts on whether Davis stays past this contract extension.

If Dell think swe should ride out this roster with minor tweaks and resign Ryno, then I think we have a big problem. If Davis doesn't hit the Rose rule, Gee opts out, we keep Ryno's hold, and holds for minimums to fill out the roster, we have less than $11M to spend.

This roster plus a let's say $9-10M/yr player and a #11 pick gets you to purgatory battling for the 7-8th seed and a 1st round exit for the next several seasons.

I don't like the tone of the article in terms of the ownership/franchise moving nonsense, but if Dell elects to double down with Ryno while keeping Evans, how can you expect us to take any meaningful step forward in the near future?

I'd hope they've already made it known that listen to offers for anyone not named Anthony Davis

Right, which adds to my point...Why would Orlando trade him for Tyreke?

Everything but the ownership, the tone seems pretty right on to me. This team needs to be blown up. No half measures.

The team isn't getting completely blown up at the deadline, that is unrealistic.
