This dude has to have to worst basketball IQ of any player in the league right now

Jesus lord he is just a disaster some nights

I'm officially off of the Tyreke bandwagon

Dude is a selfish, dumb, and extremely inefficient basketball player

You forgot to add that he can't make layups.

To play the 6th man role. It doesn't matter now that Gordon's out, but he should have been getting more minutes with the 2nd unit all year.

Well that wasn't very bright considering Ryno was already with the team.

Rivers hurts us way more. He doesn't play defense or score.

Tyreke needs to try to finish his layups be flushing them. I'm tired of him trying to finesse finish. He puts too much spin on his layups.

I just can't believe this. No one in their right mind would give someone 10-11M a year to be a bench player or 6th man. Even Anderson, in that role alone, would be heavily overpaid at 8M. That's why they have to find a way to start both somehow.

That train of thought started after B. Simmons said that Evans should sign with the Spurs when he was a FA. He said that he would thrive in a Manu type of role. It was an off the cuff comment and totally wrong. He is no where near explosive enough to fit that type of role. Bench players should give energy and produce mayhem. Evans is not that type of player at all. Evans was brought here cause he was an asset they thought they could flip. Either him or Gordon. It was a dumb signing, especially giving up Vasquez and Lopez. It gets even worse when you realize that Vasquez was the main piece in the Rudy Gay trade.

II was told that Tyreke was a big free agent signing by a Pels fan on the MSB.

Oh I know most of you are smart people. This was my first post on here. I don't want to be a Pels troll, although the OP does constantly troll the Rockets.

quail man is the moron who called Tyreke a big name free agent signing. I looked it up. His argument was that Tyreke was rookie of the year. He beat out Brandon Jennings. Lolz

He trolls the rockets to rile up boom for trolling here.

FWIW, I think no one wanted Tyreke as much as no one in Detroit wanted Josh Smith.

The Tyreke signing is going to be the move that costs Dell his job. I liked, and understood the move for Jrue. We had just spent a season getting torched in fourth quarters by opposing point guards, and Jrue was a young and proven defender that we could pair with AD.

The Tyreke signing made no sense then and looks even worse now. He is not a bum with no skills, he just lacks skills for today's NBA. The game is driven by ball/player movement. Tyreke cannot shoot (despite the fool's gold of the first 10 games), and is quite uncomfortable except in isolation plays. He has had some good statistical games but the same problems always arise. His skill set is minimized in fourth quarters and he becomes almost a liability. It is even more glaring without Gordon. Hell, he was taken out of the game for long stretches tonight by the corpse of Paul Pierce.

I hope it changes but right now it looks bleak. If he could have provided anything tonight, we win. Let's hope something changes soon because at this rate, we could be out of it by Christmas.

I agree with this and have said this myself in the past, but his skill set lends itself to staggered minutes unless you make him your point guard. There was a point in the game tonight when Tyreke was running with the 2nd unit and wasn't running the offense and it just made no sense.

It's actually funny because I think Gordon was really helping Tyreke this year. He took a backseat and became a workman like defender and basically a spot up shooter. Granted, it took about 8 games for him to begin to figure it out but it was allowing Tyreke to do what he did best.

Now, with Rivers starting, it has become a cluster. I know he had some really good catch and shoot numbers last year but right now he refuses to take those shots. We now have two major ball stoppers in our starting five.

Which is why I support EG a lot more than most on this board. We all know his contract is shitty, and cripples us, but we're stuck with what we had and can do.

You saw that he "gave in" to being the role player and he was finally okay with it. He started out bad, but he turned the corner after the first 6 games.

12.8fga last year in 32 minutes
9.0fga this year in 31 minutes

His last 6 games:
52/50/83
11.2ppg
1.7rpg
2.8apg
1.2tov
0.8spg
0.2bpg

His first 6 games:
29/19/64
7.8ppg
3.0rpg
1.2apg
1.7tov
1.5spg
0.3bpg

His production and what he brings to the table, no one else on this team can do. No one plays the same level of defense and spaces the floor at the SG position. We need Eric Gordon healthy, he's irreplaceable to an extent on this team because our lack of depth. Tyreke goes down, Jrue handles PG duties just as well if not better.

I wrote an awesome rap song last year that had a verse about Tyreke Evans missing layups and AFA retardin up and down the court.

it was probably the best post ever on this board
