Nah.

Spurs are good. Like, really good. But they also got clowned by the Warriors and the Cavs this week. Not saying they couldn't beat GS in a seven game series, but they have a lot of work to do before the playoffs if they want another ring.

Cavs aren't close to Warriors level. Warriors are still on pace to be the best team of all time. Cavs are maybe the third best team this year.

Come on now, how long have you been watching the NBA? The Spurs can not be measured by one or two games in the regular season. Or even a small stretch. More then any other coach Pop takes the long view of the season.

The fact they are doing as well as they are despite Pop's now notorious marathon approach to keep his older guys healthy is pretty crazy. I'd certainly not count them out in a 7 game series if healthy.

I'm aware. Spurs also don't usually get blown out twice in a week. Spurs are great. Top 2. They still aren't warriors level. How would a series go between them in the WCF? GS is 6 or 7 imo. But I wouldn't be shocked if the Spurs were the beat them.

The warriors are on pace to prove themselves as the best team that's ever been assembled. Would you argue that this Spurs team may be the best team that has ever stepped on the court? I wouldn't.

Which is why I put the Spurs and Cavs in my elite category.

Warriors are the elite of the elite but I can see Spurs or Cavs possibly upsetting them.

I can't see any other team doing that minus key injuries to the Warriors.

But anyways, my whole point earlier was that I think that elite category is basically the safe zone to keep Davis. You land there as a consensus top tier contender and your chances are as close to certain at keeping him. Not to mention being a in a position to win a chip or two.

Those of you with knowledge, What teams would be in the market for talents such as Ryno?

Not who would trade for him, but who might need him?

Cavs will never beat the Warriors with Irving and Love on the court. They don't match up at all with them imo.

Off the top of my head:
Orlando, Washington, Hornets, Portland, Minnesota, Denver, Indiana, Sacramento, Toronto, Lakers, Boston, Brooklyn.

The Pistons don't need him, however, there seems to be some interest there. Although Memphis has Z-Bo, I could see them having interest due to a lack of outside shooting.

Not saying I disagree with you, but reading your post made me laugh thinking of this tweet I saw over the weekend.

Their record is good, but more often than not they lose to teams they should beat a handful of times and then they barely beat teams where they are clearly better from top to bottom.

the #1 and #2 seed are just too nuts right now

Pretty sure MN had a deal to OKC for Anderson months back. Or maybe it was Gordon

I seriously don't think Dell will trade him.

At this point, I really don't care either way as long as we don't take on a shitty, long term contract. There's still a lot of games left, but this is close to a lost season, and I really don't want to re-sign Ryno at $18-$20 mil this offseason.

As much as I hope it doesn't happen, I would almost be surprised if a last second Rudy Gay for Anderson trade doesn't happen.

Anyone can make up trades. Teams completing trades is entirely different.

I'm sure part of the problem is that we have no clue what kind of value Ryno has. When MM is throwing out a young wing prospect and a 1st, it's easy to say goodbye to Ryno. When Lowe counters a few months later with just the wing prospect and thinks even then it might be iffy, then it's easy to think that Ryno is better than what we can get back in a trade. We also don't know how much money he'll get. Ryno at $13, I can live with that. Ryno at $20? Why didn't we trade him for 2nds?

A young wing prospect and a 1st was delusional for him going unrestricted into FA where every team has cap space. Teams don't want to give up assets (cheap players) only to get outbid on him or have to pay him $20M/yr. $13M/yr is not going to happen. I think he will end up getting something like a 4 yr/$70M deal, but I think the lowest offer he takes is $15/yr.

I do not want that to be from the Pelicans, so trade him to someone who values him as a rental and the hope of selling him on signing with that team.

Van Gundy wants Ryno? Morris Brothers reunited? Love to Suns?
I am going to save some GMs a lot of time, and fix everything for us in two trades.

Trade 1: Tank Engaged. We help get the Cavs, Suns, and Pistons in better shape, and we get some young studs. Maybe we give the Suns some 2016 2nds. Most importantly, we make the Suns better coming out of the all star break, and we fall back into a top 5 lotto spot.

The Suns end up with Kevin Love, EG (finally), and pairing Asik with Len to form the Eastern Bloc. 2016-17 Suns: Bledsoe, EG, Love, Asik/Len, Warren ... you're welcome

Trade 2: is one floating around, that brings Oubre here for Reke.

2015-16
PG: Brandon Knight / Holiday / Douglas
SG: Devin Booker / BDJ
SF: Gee / Kelly Oubre / Babbitt / QPon
PF: AD23 / Dante
C: Timofey Mozgov / Nene Hilario / Perkins

Going into 2016-17, including Mozgov's cap hold, we are looking at $23-26mm in cap space...
We could go after Batum or Barnes, or maybe even a combo of Ezeli & Courtney Lee…

Depending on how the ping pong balls bounce, maybe we end up in the top 3, or Durant goes to Lakers and somehow Jaylen Brown is there… or picking at 4 or 5, Hield? Rabb? Bender? Poeltl?

2016-17
PG: Knight / Jrue
SG: Booker / (Courtney Lee) / (Jaylen Brown / Buddy Hield)
SF: (Batum/Barnes) / Oubre / QPon
PF: AD23 / Dante / (Rabb, Bender)
C: Mozgov / (Festus) / (Jakob Poeltl)

What about just keeping him and Gordon on board, beating bad teams and losing to good ones, and ending up around .500 with no playoff or no lotto pick?

To me it's a forgone conclusion you cannot bring these guys back next year. We aren't a good team this year. So sell them for anything, make the team worse, get a better pick, retool in 2016 and 2017
