Heard a scenario on the radio, Davis to Boston for Smart and the 3rd pick (josh jackson).I really like AD but wouldnt be upset with the trade.

Because Davis is a top 3 player and because he is on effectively a cost controlled contract for 4 years, you only entertain that trade if you get Smart, the first this year, the Lakers first next year, and possibly 3 other firsts in the future. OP is a fricking idiot if he thinks Smart and Jackson = Davis

thats Boston fans who believe they can get anyone for any price at any time. that deal is laughably bad. and the Pels have no incentive to trade Davis after the Cousins trade
if EVERYTHING goes wrong this season and Cousins walks next summer, then you start looking at that Nets pick, Lakers/Kings pick, Memphis 1st + other players for Davis.

why would the Pels want Marcus Smart or Avery Bradley in a Davis trade? both are due raises. and Smart isnt that good. Bradley is a good D and 3 guy, but he's 6'2".
the Pels would be at ground zero. those guys are great on good teams, would be overmatched on a rebuild, thus hurting potential trade value.
if this ever happens, give me 3 1sts, Jaylen Brown or #3 this year (if they keep him) + filler to match salaries.

I may consider IT, Brown, Bradley, Crowder, 3rd pick, 2018 Brooklyn, and the Laker/Sac pick for Davis and Asik. Anything less than that and I'm hanging up the phone immediately.

Can we stop with the Davis being traded hypos? New Orleans has the two biggest stars we've ever had and all people keep talking about is trade scenarios. Why don't we just resign Jrue, pick up a couple of decent shooters, and see what happens? Davis and Cousins will not be traded, certainly not before we even see them play a season together

but what terrifies me is that people undervalue him
he is transcendent and young player on amazing contract.
you are not trading for an expiring. he is not asking for the trade.
to at least look at your offer you will need to send a first rounder for every of his remaining guaranteed seasons (FOUR). And at least two of them should be high picks.
And also you should include real players...
For me the idea of AD trade in 2017 is beyond stupid.
With some bad circumstances in the future, maybe...
