I haven't gotten to watch him play, but judging by the reactions in the game threads he's been impressive. How does he compare to Ish, and does he make all the people upset that Ish was traded happier with that deal?

For those that haven't even seen his box scores, in 5 games he's averaging 14.6 pts 4.8 ast 4.0 reb 1.0 stls in 26 MPG. The primary negative so far looks to be too many turnovers at 3.2 per game.

He reminds me of a mini Rondo. I definitely think getting the 2 2nd round picks for Ish was worth it as Frazier seems like he can be a pretty decent bench guard.

He looks a lot better than Cole. I don't see as much ball movement as I did with Ish, but he does make a lot of really nice passes. Ish's style of play was more "frantic" - but as a pure point guard I might give the edge to Ish. But Tim has more scoring potential. Takes much smarter shots than Cole. Does having him ease the pain of losing Ish? Maybe for next year, but I honestly feel that if Ish had all of Cole's minutes we would have been very close to the playoffs. I gives us at least 5 more wins with Ish when it still mattered.

The TOs last night were more due to Indy's always good defense and inexperience although I agree it needs to be cut down.

He's a better decision maker(by far) than Cole in terms of shot selection and passing. He does a really good job of leading the the team even though he's being asked to do a bit much.

His shooting also is a bit better than advertised as he's hit a 3 in nearly every game and won't over do it.

Haven't heard or really seen anything too bad defensively

A bit higher than you'd like TOs and a mediocre outside shot are really his only glaring issues.

He's a much more confident scorer than Ish. Not nearly the pass first pure PG Ish is, nor does he have the handles of Ish. Some of his passes are just subtle basketball plays though. A great example: Him and Babbitt run a PnP vs. Miami. Frazier throws a no look bounce pass behind his back. Not one of the super fancy variety. Sets up Babbitt with plenty of time. Bottom. I also don't notice the defensive liability that Ish was. People remember the first few games Ish had in Philly, yet conveniently forget to pay attention to his progression throughout the season. Hint: Philly is still only at 9 wins.

It's another notch in Demps' hidden gems belt so far (the only belt Demps has left imo). Frazier's shooting percentages right now are off the charts and obviously not sustainable. He does look to me more competent as an all-around player than Smith is.

While I don't think Ish, or the two 2nds, are going to make or break the franchise- I will be pissed if they sell those picks for cash.

$1 million is $1 million. What if that buys some sports science consultants or new team trainers/equipment? Maybe it even helps pay for a more expensive GM. I wouldn't want it going on Benson's pile, but if you told me I could draft an 8th man, get a better GM, or make the team healthier, I'll find another way to get an 8th man.

The thing with Frazier is look at the lineup he's playing with. Ish had the chance to play with our regulars with the chance of a playoff hope run. Tim has gee and Cunningham as his running mates

That's the thing with Dell man. He's awesome at finding these gems. He'll shuffle through players until he finds the right guy, and that makes it even more crazy that he's stuck on this roster

Yeah, if he didn't have an ego he could have hired JVG and been Jeff Bower on steroids. That's probably a better outcome for his future prospects than the shite show that's happened this season.

He's the first guy since cp3 to get the ball anywhere on the court with mellow effort. ....with the skills to score the rock.

you're right, he's pivital towards winning. That's why the sixers are lighting everyone up right now.

It's not nearly about having Ish on the court - it's about having Cole OFF the court. There was a fairly lengthy period where Cole was REALLY sucking and everyone here was saying that they were playing him to try to showcase him for a trade, hoping he'd play his way out of it. If you were at those games, you know that having him in was very detrimental in some close games. And this was at a point where we were only 4-5 games out of the 8 seed. Cole was definitely a major factor in a bunch of losses.

....in the clusterfrick of guards we have available now, I take Frazier.
If Jrue is your starting point guard playing 35-40 minutes, I take Ish as the backup point guard for the rest of the minutes.

He just needed more attempts at that terrible pull up jumper to get it going.
