At least there is a strong support system around him that felt the exact opposite.

I don't see how you can take that away from those quotes at all.

For friends and family to say they are salivating at the idea of any coach means they didn't hold any particular loyalty to CMW. We haven't seen any "friends and family" are pissed quotes.

Didn't AD's dad go looking for Monty to heckle him after a game his rookie year?

That's different than saying they are the "exact opposite" of a Monty fan, which implies that they all hated Monty and wanted him gone.

If I remember correctly he was sitting behind the bench during games and when Monty would sit the Brow for no reason the dad would heckle.

No, the exact opposite of a Monty fan is a non-fan of Monty. That does not imply hatred in the slightest. You can be happy that the Pelicans moved in the direction they did without hating Monty Williams.

Hopefully we have contacted Hoiberg to gauge his interest.

There's a good chunk of D'Antoni hate because of his recent stints with NYK and LAL. Our team is much more similarly built to the PHX teams he won 60 games and went to conference finals with. Davis could put up Amare offensive numbers in that system and actually play defense on the other end of the floor. He wouldn't bring the excitement that Thibs would, but I'd fully expect him to produce results closer to PHX than the other two teams. He also has somewhat of a relationship with AD due to his affiliation with Team USA.

I gave him some benefit of the doubt because those teams were kind of dumpsterfires.

I also really like ettore messina based on what I read as well.

Or because the league has changed and he sucks as a head coach.

He's a college guy. I just don't see him as a good NBA coach.
Most college coaches that try the NBA, have been very successful in college.
Miller has never even made a Final Four, despite having top 7 recruiting class at Zona the last 5 years. He's had 4 recruits every year 4 star or better, usually 2 5 stars, yet he's got Derrick Williams and Aaron Gordon as his only NBA players.

His teams perform well in the regular season, but do nothing in the tourney, and he hasn't developed NBA talent with the plethora of talent he recruits every year.

I just don't see what he's done to deserve consideration for an NBA job.
