I thought Vasquez was a decent 1, but Aminu is playing out of his mind.

if Aminu is playing like this after 20-25 games, I'll definitely eat crow.

I like Vazquez, always have.

I'm still concerned about Aminu's consistency, but I feel like Vasquez is going to continue putting up the numbers he has been.

I still take Parsons over Aminu.

And still like him but think Vasquez is best as a backup.

Vasquez won't be a backup, in my opinion. He has shown too much. To replace Vasquez, Rivers has to work out as a point because you would be spending a lot on a FA starter.

These moves don't happen in a vaccuum.

Vasquez looks like an all-star after a couple years of Jarrett Jack overdribbling until the shotclock expires.

You may be right.

I just don't know about the fit with Gordon. Gordon is a very good PnR player and ball dominant. Vasquez is the same and so is Rivers- why I wasnt too high on him pre draft. I don't know how effective he would be spotting up in the corner on most possessions

Letting Greivis run the 2s as the creator makes more sense to me at this stage in his development. Of course it would be great to actually see how he plays with Gordon

Would ideally like to see a Mario Chalmers/Fisher type player as pg next to Gordon. Can hit the three when open, take care of the ball, and be a reasonable defender of pgs

If Vasquez becomes a consistent shooter spotting up on the wing, it could work well, in my opinion. He is definitely sluggish, though.

He is developing very well, but has a limited ceiling. He could be a freat sixth man point. We are just fundamentally flawed with the injuries. Any good PGs in the draft this year? Guy at Mizzou?

Vasquez can't be a starter on a good team, unless he's playing with Durant, Lebron, Dwight, etc etc all on the team.

Dude is just very limited. Backup on a good team, starter on a bad one.

Vasquez will probably always have trouble against the more athletic guards. His worst games have came against: Jrue Holiday, Westbrook, Lawson, Conley, and Chalmers. When he has to play against a PG has on ball defensive abilities, he tends to get exposed.

I just keep saying this, Vasquez is not a PG. He is a really good passing SG that can't shoot very well. There is a reason why they aren't alot of 6'6 PGs. He just isn't going to have the quickness to stick with a great PG. Once he learns to shoot, he could be a really good SG (like a better defensive Belli that can drive).

Just a quick look at DX's early mock and the first pg is CJ McCollum at 12 and a bunch of other guys littered throughout the rest of the first round.

Reading a few of their scouting reports, it looks like there are players who would fit next to Gordon. But unless guys get healthy soon, the Hornets will likely have a top 6-8 pick and the value doesn't look to be there for a pg. Then again, it's very early. Lillard went from perhaps a reach at 10 to being long gone.
