The best thing going for the Pels outside of AD

Gotta be Joel Myers, right?
Listening to his radio show and the guy is just money. We need to lock him up longterm; he needs to be the Jim Henderson of the Pels
Any good Myers stories from seeing him around NOLA? Guy loves the city

He is the best I wish he had a local radio show so we could hear him more often

Love Joel. He was such an upgrade over what we had before.
Does he live in the city in the offseason?

I believe so. He was just talking about Liuzza's by the track on XM NBA channel. Raving about the BBQ shrimp

Joel is amazing. Honestly...he's too good for us. He's a Lakers (I know he was already there), Celtics, Knicks etc level broadcaster.

Why did the lakers get rid of him he's awesome

I'd love to hear his honest thoughts on the organization, roster etc

I think they switched TV Networks and he was still on contract with Fox Sports? IDK

Yes. See him out at restaurants occasionally. He loves it here. Listen to his show and you can tell he is infatuated with the city of New Orleans.
ETA - Used to see him out and about a lot more when I lived downtown. Said hello a couple of times, but no real stories. Genuinely nice guy.

100%
dude is fantastic. even when ESPN covers the games, if it's still on FSNO I'm watching that broadcast.
in line with that, Wesley has really improved the last few years. his first season was pretty tough to listen to, but he give a lot of very honest, unbiased opinions that are really in line with what I believe the majority of the fans may be experiencing during the game. he's been great as well. they're making a pretty good duo, and I think a lot of that is due to Joel being such a stud

I've met Joel and his wife. In fact, their seats are near mine. She's there almost every game, although, obviously, he only uses the other seat when there's a national broadcast, etc.
They are extremely nice people. They still have their place in California, and I'm pretty sure they spend much of the off season there (I mean, seriously, NOLA summers are no picnic). But they definitely love N.O. My neighbors across the street have gone out to dinner with them once or twice, and we're supposed to all get together in the fall. Again, they are genuinely cool people. I actually met "Mr Burns, "Principal Skinner" and "Ned Flanders" when he was sitting in Joel's seat one night.

I prefer listening to him over whoever they have for the nationally televised games for that night. Breen is the only big name NBA commentator I really like. Joel is fantastic.

He and David Wesley are far bigger improvements from fricking Bob Licht and Gil McGreggor (however you spell their names). They were both completely awful.

He, his wife, and dog (which is apparently mean as hell) live a few units down from me in the warehouse district. The dog has always been great around me but when I bring my dog out and the golden is with one of them, they beeline it somewhere else or don't get off the elevator. They live in California most of the offseason and will pop back in the city every now and then. They are both great people and love to chat when they have a moment. I always enjoy when we have an elevator ride down together; he tells it like it is when it comes to the Pels and drops an expletive every other word. Occasionally I will see him on the roof when I am grilling and we'll have a beer. I hope they stick around; for both the Pels and for my own personal relationship.

Nice! I'll be moving to New Orleans in a few weeks and will be living in that area.

It's a great area. Growing very quickly with new condos and restaurants. Easily walkable; I usually don't see my car on the weekends unless I need to head outside of the city. I've lived in 3 different buildings in the WHD and loved them all. Plus, walking to the arena and dome takes 15-20 mins. You'll definitely enjoy it
