so, Gordon and Anderson for Carmelo?

Salary for Melo is rough, but that would be difficult to say no to...obviously NY would never do that unless Melo's agent basically orchestrated the trade.

However, with AD on the block and Melo on the wing, opposing defenses would have tough decisions to make...

ETA: This is fantasy land.

This is a fricking joke right? Carmelo won't even sniff New Orleans. Forget about how he would play alongside AD. He's simply not interested in playing anywhere outside of New York, Chicago, LA, ie the big markets.

I agree but you are going to get "Why not" and "How do you know" etc etc.

Well, all the reports of his wife only wanting a major city. The only way he would even consider coming here is if we just had an unbelievable season, the Knicks were terrible again, and Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, both LAs, Dallas, Miami and Houston were not interested.

I thought Gentry doesn't like mid-range shots? Between Carmelo, AD, and jrue that is a ton of mid range jumpers just saying.

this could change as he gets older & NY proves to him that big markets aren't always the answer.

and he already has his big contract.

Ive never been a huge fan of him, but i do agree it would be interesting to see him play next to another superstar player. Will likely never happen though

Exactly. We act like a player has never changed his tune before.

He got to his big market, got his money, and found no winning or happiness there. Isn't this what normally happens before people change their minds on things.

Look, maybe he remains stubborn, but that is what is GOOD about his no trade clause. If he is traded here, then it is because he wants to come. If not, then no harm. I guess I don't see the downside.

Now, if people are arguing it is not likely - well, anybody coming here in a vacuum is more unlikely than likely. Would you want a GM who pursues everything or just the sure fire things?

Yea I see what you're saying. MAYBE at the end of his career, kind of like Vince Carter now with the Grizzlies.

Do I believe New Orleans will be 1st or even 2nd on his list when he could both please his wife by going to a top TV production market and join other star players in Los Angeles?

The laws reducing the overall cost of the film tax credit program are costing us Melo!!!!

No one knows how his knee will hold up. That scares me as much as his style of play.
