The small forward depth in the '14 class is crazy:

Andrew Wiggins
Jabari Parker
Mario Hezonja
Glenn Robinson
TJ Warren
Alex Poythress

Draft Burke this year and we can get our 3 man next season..

Better idea:

1. Trade Gordon to Charlotte for their 2014 1st round pick
2. Don't tank, let Charlotte tank for us
3. ???????
4. Profit!

3 years in a row at the top of the lotto? Too many will lose patients by then. They need to make the playoffs this year.

I dont want to tank next year, but who cares about people losing patience?

People love to talk about following the OKC model but act like cry babies while we're in the middle of the process.

Because its highly, highly unlikely teams turn their picks into gold like theThunder. Rather like the Kings, Bobcats, Wizards, etc. Especially with the players in this years draft.

What he said. If they continue to suck for 5 years and all they have to show for it is a first round exit, it will set the team back years.

Let's lose forever! Whole team will be nothing but top 3 lotto picks!

I'd rather we just start trying to be competitive with our young nucleus. Let the Bobcats have him.

Good point. The Bobcats were historically bad and they drafted a guy who wasn't even on the first team all-nba.

This tank thing be getting silly, homies. To expect to follow OKC's model precisely is fools gold. Their FO is smart, but they were very fortunate, too.

I'm just inclined to tank because of the awesome class next year. Although I think with rivers and ad improving and gordon healthy, we have enough to make iy into the playoffs already provided we pick well this year and our coach does his job.

Everyone keeps talking about the OKC model. People used to praise Joe Dumars and the Piston's model too. When he was criticized for picking Darko, everyone said look at his track record. OKC has made mistakes too. It was a horrible move to give rid of Harden for what they did. Either try one more year with the core from last year or trade him for the #2 pick in last year's draft when it was rumored the Cats were willing to do so. I still shake my head at the fact that they essentially chose Ibaka over Harden.
