So he is a worse version of a player that most consider to have little skill in their game?

I knew I would piss someone off comparing Meyers Leonard to Blake Griffin (who a lot of guys on the MSB love to hate on). Look I get it, there are people on the OT lounge with a better jumper than Blake Griffin, a skill that is basically essential to being a professional basketball player, but the guy didn't just get a huge contract extension because he has a lot of fans and can jump over a Kia. He has a unique skillset that NBA GMs and Basketball people in general love, he made the USA Basketball team for crying out loud.

coach did him a disservice the way he was played a lot last year. he has a descent post game, hits the free throws, goes for the blocks and rebounds and is very good in the pic&roll.

He was very fluent in the pick and roll offense, it looked very natural to him. I can't believe im going to get caught up defending Blake Griffin in a thread on this board, because I am far from a fan of his. But it is far from an insult for an NBA rookie to be called a poor mans Blake Griffin at this point, he is the elite athlete of freakish NBA athletes. I think sometimes people forget that Pro Basketball players are the most athletic men in the world, look at what Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham have become in the NFL. Blake Griffin does things that make other NBA players gasp, that says enough for me.

#1 pick. #10 pick. Roster revamp. New Owner that happens to be the owner of the Saints.

Comes with the territory. And I'm thrilled.

Saw Austin Rivers at Carls Jr after the game. I tried to buy him a milkshake but he refused.
