Besides Stiemsma being terrible, I wonder if there was an incident that led to this. It isn't like Ely is some young guy brought in to get a look at over the last couple of games. While I'm glad I don't have to worry about Stiemsma being in a Pels jersey next year anymore, the timing is strange.

The team is very thin and Stiemsa was injured (update was expected today). If he wasn't going to play again this year, Demps may have needed to add a warm body to the roster.

I didn't either, I just saw Eichenhofer this morning say an injury update was expected for Tyreke, Roberts and Stiemsma.
