Someone just paid $550m for the Milwaukee Bucks

I just read that and was going to post here. You have to think Benson is pretty happy with his purchase right now. I'm sure the Bucks sale definitely increased the Pelicans' value.

Benson bought low. Between the new CBA being favorable to owners and the league seeing a resurgence in popularity, team values have risen. On the plus side, if the money is flowing freely the owners are a lot more willing to throw the players a bone in 2017 when they can renegotiate the new CBA. So hopefully we won't see a work stoppage.

This kinda shite with MIL (the least valuable team according to Forbes) fetching $550mm makes expansion more palatable. Imagine what the expansion fee the owners could charge to get into SEA. $650? $700 million?

The last thing the league needs is expansion, but there does seem to be an abundant supply of willing owners.
