I think most people here would freak out if that happened, but I wouldn't. Jimmer got a ton of open shots, he just didn't hit them, something he's always done until last year. I think the open run and gun of Gentry rather than the stifling risk aversion of Monty could make a world of difference for him.

A fifth guard?? lol Let's see Holiday continues to be a got damn question mark! They haven't resigned Coles yet. And if you are referring to Evans and Gordon they are both SG's! This Curry kid would make a nice PG with his ball handling skills and shooting ability. Just dumb to give him away like that. But this is Dell Demps who hopefully will be gone soon.

Curry was never going to get that many shots during the regular season. Would have been good off the bench but he's too streaky especially from 3 point range.

Jimmer is 192/504 from 3 in his career or 38.1%, that's including hitting a miserable 18.8% last year. I'm fine letting him go, but anyone that thinks last year's Jimmer is the real Jimmer is ignoring his career. That's exactly what Seth Curry is... He isn't a PG. And in 3 years in the league Seth has played in 4 NBA games. Maybe he has more upside but the Kings offered him more than the minimum and we probably couldn't afford it/didn't want to afford him. He's and end of the bench guy here.

And you know that how?? He played some PG in the summer league. He knows he'll have to be a PG like his brother in that league because they just aren't many short SG's in the NBA. And he has the ball handling skills and driving abilty to do it just fine.

No one is saying we have to keep Jimmer. You are the one butthurt over a guy who has played a grand total of 4 NBA games in his career. I'm not saying there's no chance he'll be good but you are acting like he would have played 15-20 minutes a game here. He's an end of the bench guy who I would have liked for the minimum. Sacramento offered him more. That's it.

Well he's only made about 200k from the NBA in his career. Probably trying to get out of his brother and dads pockets completely. That 2 mill will feel real nice to him.

I never said he did, I just said that his 3 point shooting last year was an anomaly and if that's what you're looking for in a 5th it wouldn't be crazy to think he might return to form in Gentry's system. I'm not anti-Curry, but we did not miss out on some diamond in the rough, an opal maybe, but not a diamond.
