Thinking we should do a sign and trade with Warriors. Anderson for Speights and Festus. Anybody disagree?

right we sign and trade for a past his prime player who plays the same position as our best player (therefore relegated to the bench) and another non-shooting, non offensive threat center who plays the same position as two of our other biggest payroll mistakes.

golden state, a team built around a blitzing defense that can switch anything with their bigs, takes on a 4 who can't switch on to anyone while removing bogut's two big minute backups against teams that play big. oh yeah, the thing the 4 does well offensively also replicates the Warrirs record setting strength.

sounds like a good trade for all!

Why would any team do a sign and trade when 99% of the league will have the cap to sign him outright?

clearly because of the above mentioned reasons. depth defense versitality and continuity probably not important to a soon to be two time champ

Totally agree. While we are at it, make it a three way where we send Jrue & Gordon to OKC for Westbrook and Durant.

Problems solved. Sure hope Demps reads TD

Judging from the smartass answers, nobody agrees lol. I guess we'll just let Anderson walk for nothing.

The time to trade him was before the deadline. The clowns working in the front office thought we still had a chance at the playoffs and wanted to keep their jobs.

We don't have much of an option. Like someone above mentioned, most teams will probably be able to sign him outright so why give the pels anything? That's why I wanted to trade him for anything but a long term bad contract. Beats nothing.

1. Your proposed trade arguably makes both teams worse, so neither has incentive to complete it.

2. Your proposed trade isn't the only possible scenario for a sign-and-trade.

3. A sign-and-trade is unlikely with the expanded cap.

I also heard that Doc Brown is in New Orleans with the Delorean to go back to 1992 and get Michael Jordan to warp to today and play for the Pels.

Might destroy space and time, might not. Worth the risk IMO.

Teams that may want Anderson in a starting capacity.

Sacramento
Indiana
Toronto
Boston

Teams that may want Anderson in a starting capacity and likely won't have the cap space to sign him.

Toronto

Teams that may want Anderson in a starting capacity and may have contracts they'd want to move in a S&T

Toronto (Ross?)
Sacramento (Gay)

I think the 2 teams above are the primary S&T options, and at best you'd get future 2nds out of the deal. Trades could shake things up, or maybe Indy can sign say Mike Conley and then would want to trade Hill and/or Stuckey for Ryno, but the odds are fairly low we get anything more significant than cap space in return for Anderson.

Demps couldn't dump his expiring at the deadline. Now we are to believe that he can properly execute a sign and trade?

Do you think we could get Mclemore in a S&T from Sac?

don't need offense.. da fuq? anthony davis is the only one that we can go to to get a clutch bucket.. and gordon and anderson but not rlly. we've had breakout games on offense but not many whatsoever. most of them were cuz of AD going off. and we have frickin Ashit and perkins at C bruh they cant do shite on offense. cunninghams inconsistent, evans takes questionable shots, and if we have Q-PON next year thats not helping either hes there for defense

The only reason they do a S&T of Ryno for McLemore is if they just want him off their roster and no other team wants McLemore, which I would find hard to believe nobody would want him for free, or they attach another player they don't want with him, like Gay + McLemore for Ryno.
