Maybe the Rondo injury is a blessing in disguise?

One advantage of it is that it gets other guys more reps in a system that Finch says takes a while to learn. Despite having a bunch of road games, the first 12 games have a lot of bad teams that AD/DC can beat singlehandedly. 8-4 still seems as doable now as before Hill/Rondo went down.

So guys like Clark/Moore/Allen/Crawford get up to speed in the new system faster. Rondo hits the ground running when he returns because he's a basketball genius, and you actually are more prepared for the tougher part of the schedule in late November/December.

It's normally 4 to 6 weeks for a sports hernia to heal, that's roughly 7 to 10 games missed. Luckily, in the month of October we have winnable games outside of Cleveland and Golden State.

You know how this team operates. We'll probably hear on Friday before the Grizzlies game that Rondo had successful surgery on Tuesday.

...and two weeks after that word will finally trickle out that while they failed to catch the infection earlier, they are hoping to avoid amputation.

Beno would be a nice option.
Too bad he's not a free agent like MM suggested on the POD.

He's slipping with his info lol.

No... he is on Detroit, but the Pels can easily get him. Detroit is unlikely to keep him if he has a spot where he can play. Similar to how Dell and the Sixers discussed Ish before he was waived

How likely is that with the Reggie Jackson injury cloud?

They only have Ish and Galloway if you want to count him as a PG.

I hope you are right though....Beno would be another high IQ vet this team really needs.

Just like we thought, we find out after surgery already done. Now we just wait for the life threatening bacteria.

So, anywhere from 10-17 games missed. Not the end of the world. I thought I saw someone say it could be 3 months. Glad that wasn't the case.

I guess/hope this means more minutes for Allen and Clark, which isn't really a bad thing. The minutes when Jrue is off of the court will be interesting though. I assume that Cousins will be on the court for the minutes that Jrue is off of the court and they will run some offense through him.

I thought no surgery = 1 month and surgery = 4 months. 4-6 weeks after having surgery isn't that bad.

With that said, we all know it'll really be 6 weeks to never

I'm fine with 4-6 weeks. We have another week til the season starts. So he will miss 3-5 NBA weeks.

That's normally closer to 15-20 games.

But considering the season hasn't started, it'll probably shade closer to 15 games.

Ok.
My o/u of 33 wins is looking good.
One more starter in mid season ought to it.
You dudes who bought over at 39 need to layoff under with the quickness even at 36.
