We know what we have, and I feel some are putting a good bit of pressure on Austin Rivers to come in and be a part of a Big 3.

Say we end up with long term deals with Batum and Gordon.. Will that be enough to contend? Are those the right moves? Are we going to kick ourselves for not saving the cap room for next off season?

What direction would you take this Franchise with the goal of a long term core roster set by the end of next off season? All responses should end with /championship.

I would feel better if we had Collison still and Chandler.

SO a PG and a C that could add to the team would be nice.

An argument could be made that Jack > Collison.

Neither are starting caliber.

"Starting caliber" by definition means that you're a top 30 player in the league at your position. Jack and Collison are both easily in the top 30 of PG's in the NBA.

Jack put up 15.5/4/6.5 last season on 45% shooting and was 16th in PER among PGs. He's definitely worthy of being a starter.

Well if you're going to play that game, Eric Gordon PER... 5. And you want to trade him for shite because you agree with LockdownDouchebag that he "hates New Orleans"

...or you could be like puddinhead'n minnesohhhta tiger and sign him to a max deal, frick up cap space, have eg stay injured and unhappy, and possibly become a cancer ready to bolt at his next opportunity.

Think McFly! Think

1)healthy Eric Gordon is more than worth $15m a year
2)We have the most cap space of any team in the NBA. His deal does not "frick up cap space." We can afford his max deal and still sign 2 max players.

have eg stay injured and unhappy

1)I bet Gordon plays 60+ games next year.
2)Monty and Dell have both been told by Gordon that he likes it here and would love to come back.

Seriously, maybe 3-5 of your last 20 posts on the board are actually basketball related, the rest are just flames.

To become a realistic contender? Another superstar. To become a perennial playoff team? A starting caliber sf and c.

saying we need more superstars isn't exactly true. Look at Dallas a well coached, and disciplined team beat the heat. You don't need big name guys just guys that know their role, and good coaching
