Realistic Expectations for the Pels Going Forward

How do you see them finishing this season?
Do you think they make the playoffs?
What about next season?
It's safe to say the Pels are now a better team, having 2 top 10 players. But, it will likely take a little time to gel, so my expectations might be a little lower than some. My guess is they go around 13-12 or 14-11 over the next 25 games. That will likely be enough to get in as the 8th seed. They wouldn't be good enough to beat GS, but they would absolutely cause match-up problems. I could see them taking a game, even 2 from the Warriors. One thing I am worried about, though, is Gentry staying here. I don't see him as the answer.
Next season I am expecting a 50 win team. They will have a chance to make solid off-season moves. They likely look to bring back Jrue, but maybe they go a different route and pursue someone like Hayward.
This move has brought life back into the franchise, and I haven't seen fans this excited since the Pelicans lucked into Anthony Davis. The Blender should be rocking.

8 seed this year.
With the right moves, 4-6 seed next year.

It'll be interesting to see what the teams around us do at the deadline. Denver is going to be a team to watch and we get the luxury of playing them 3 times in a 2 week period late in the season.
Expectations should be get the 8 seed and break away from this current group of mediocrity in the West next season.

I think I saw where only 5 of our remaining road games are against winning teams

On defense maybe, but I'll be disappointed if every offensive possession isn't Cousins in the post throwing a no look alleyoop to AD when the double comes.

They play the Nuggets 3 times in the last 25 games. They better win those games if they want any shot at the 8th seed

We have a pretty hard schedule going forward.
It's rated as somewhere around the 6-11 range for hardest schedule through different measurables.
Denver is middle of the pack in the 15-18 range.
Portland is the second easiest schedule going forward in the NBA.

We don't have the right coach for this...but they should run that on just about every single possession when both are in the game.
ETA: Unstoppable
