Perry jones just got released. Hasn't done anything since being drafted so high, but could Gentry's system allow this kid to fully reach his potential?! Low risk, high reward!

We don't need another wing! We need a guard that can play D and run the point!

I hate players like him. 7 ft tall and loaded with talent. But wants to be a swingman. All he had to do was hit the gym and give some effort. But he's soft. We have too many guys like him already..

Played against him in hs, Woodrow Wilson his first year, duncanville the last 3. AAU He was on the LBA Seawolves and he ran through everybody like it was his playground. Dude was a legend at the time and actually played pretty decent at Baylor.
Austin Rivers is another similar case. Top 3 overall player in high school, plays pretty decent in college, gets drafted in the first round, doesn't perform too expectations. I will always root for perry jones wherever he goes but he is a prime example of somebody who will never live up to his potential.
I'm not even sold on him being a minimum contract type player who won't just be a body on the bench. If somehow he ended up on the roster I would lol but would still root for him, it'll never happen though.
