Gobert: 1440 points
Derozan: 984 points

Derozan missed 22 games even if he played all of them he still would've came well short

This scoring system skews it so hard toward scorers and negates the value of hustle stats.

Pure scorers are actually terribly penalized in this league. Averaging 20ppg with no other real stats and shooting 40% will be end of bench type player.

So a guy with 30 points, 2 rebs, 1 assist will net your team 33 points. (I am ignoring the aspect of FG made and missed)

Incorrect

No

You don't get a +1 for making a FG. You get the amount of points as a result of tht FG. You get a minus 1 for all misses though.

Who were the top scorers from last year? AD and Cousins are givens, but I'm guessing it's dominated by bigs.

Fwiw, I don't think the point system here is right either. I recall adding an extra point for scoring because players who rebounded and blocked shots had way to much of an adcantage.

If we go by how many were in the top 100 by primary position:

PGs: 20
SGs: 15
SFs: 18
PFs: 26
C: 21

Bigs have a presence but it's not as huge as you might think. SGs been down for a while but should get better as more young guys get better.

So many multi position guys now as well

Nearly half of the top 100 were either PF or C. That's why I asked. It looks like the league rewards double double types with high FG%.

I play in a points league with some friends and co-workers. I prefer categories but it's not bad. This is how we do the scoring:

Points (PTS)

1

Blocks (BLK)

3

Steals (STL)

3

Assists (AST)

2

Rebounds (REB)

1.5

Turnovers (TO)

-0.5

Field Goals Made (FGM)

0.5

Field Goals Attempted (FGA)

-0.5

Free Throws Made (FTM)

1

Free Throws Attempted (FTA)

-1

Double Doubles (DD)

2

Triple Doubles (TD)

3

Quadruple Doubles (QD)
