AD came out on fire. Scored 11 of our first 15 points.
Team fell apart soon after and we were down 20 points.
Ryno, AD, and Tyreke went off in the 3rd and tied the game back up.
Kilpatrick closed the game out in the 4th with some great scoring.

Douglas Roberts makes me cringe kinda like Lance Thomas did everytime he got the ball. Kilpatrick needs minutes.

Glad to hear that. Sounds like Kilpatrick may make the team at this rate. Glad Gentry is making some good ajustments at half time.

What were they working on? Sucking?

Watched the game, few things:
AD can virtually score at will at times. Whether a jab step jumper, baseline drive, put-back buckets - it looks almost too easy. If he can step behind the arc and hit at a 30-40% rate he may win the MVP. He is the complete package, but we all already know that.
Tyreke played well and he seemed to move much more up-tempo than in past seasons which is refreshing. Still some hero-iso-ball at times but he was finishing tonight. I'm still in the watch and see phase to see whether it's going to be another 50/50 good-Tyreke/bad-Tyreke season. Hopefully 80/20 this season.
Holiday looks the best I've seen him in a Pels uniform honestly, even though it is just preseason. I like the idea of limiting his minutes early on. It's going to do wonders for him later in the season I think.
Perkins played hard but he won't be relied on much during the regular season. Gasol had a nice stat line because Perkins never got much outside of 10 feet from the basket to challenge his shots.
Cunningham still plays hard-nosed defense. His block/goal-tending play was pretty awesome, dude was 15 feet in the air it seemed like. Not a fan of him shooting the 3 at a high rate. I just think his comfort level is the 15-18 foot jumper.
Ryan Anderson hit his 3's, not much else you can ask of him. He still has those nice post spin moves but had trouble finishing tonight. He will be highly utilized in Gentry's offense, let's just hope he continues to shoot a high percentage behind the arc.
Babbitt may play a bigger role than some of us think. He seems to have improved and expanded his offensive game a bit more than beyond a 3 point specialist but still struggles against bigs on defense. But it seems he has entered the preseason games pretty early on, but of course this is with Q-Pon sidelined.
Kilpatrick looked great. Played confidently and with hustle on both ends of the floor. He definitely made a name for himself with tonight's game.
CDR looked absolutely terrible tonight despite getting early minutes. Missed AD on multiple breakaway opportunities. On fast breaks he would drive to the basket and instead of passing to a shooter behind the arc or drawing a foul he would bring the ball back out and set up the offense. A good play if it's 1 on 3 but not 2 on 1 or even 1 on 1 breaks. His one attempt at a 1 on 1 break resulted in a block off him out of bounds.
Overall I enjoyed the offense but like Gentry had alluded to, they must have been trying something different on defense. The perimeter defense was Monty-esque in the first half. 60+ points in a half is way too much.
Optimism level = still high

good recap
on another note bobby Portis looked great
He's going to be a player
I'd did laugh audibly though when he went to back down on Davis then realized what was about to happen and pulled it back out

What's that new tattoo AD got on his shoulder I'm not a fan. I feel like he's got addicted to ink and by the end of his career he'll be seriously tatted up.

The artist had plenty or space with which to work, particularly along Davis' bicep, because the New Orleans Pelicans' best player has bulked up
