For the 1,000th time, news about Demps interviewing #Pelicans candidates is completely meaningless. Demps has spoken to everyone.

I guess Dell is giving the coach interviewing its due negligence.

Vinny Del Negro at his peak posted a 56-26 team. Also furthest he got was the conference semis.

Since Doc has taken over, he has gone 57-25 and 56-26, both losses in the conference semis.

I think some of the folks on here would bitch if we were interviewing Popovich.

VDN happens to have a better record than any of the guys mentioned in the search thus far. He had 1 losing season in the 5 he's been a head coach (Gentry has had 1 winning season in 12 years as a HC).

You're dead on, the Clippers gave up draft choices and a king's ransom in salary for Doc and all he's done was pretty much match Del Negro's record.

While true, it's not doc's coaching ability that has held them back.

Doc the GM is fricking TERRIBLE.

dont believe that anyone really knows anything about any of these coaches

JVG= coached the knicks, hugged Zo's leg
Thibs= DEFENSE!
Gentry= career assistant w shitty W/L as a HC
VDN= white guy w three names, people dont even realize he coached in chicago
Skiles= white guy from NBA jam

this is not the place to come to get your fill on NBA head coaching info

I can't lie. I ed at that.

As for VDN, I'm glad we are doing our due diligence. But...damn! I hope this isn't for real. I'm starting to seriously temper my expectations.
