But Okafor is so cheap contract wise it doesn't even matter. You get him through 2020 at 5, 6 and 8 mil per. The guy was an 18/7/1 as a rook, 17 PER. You're talking backup money under the new cap for a productive guy

This makes no sense. There's nothing they have that would be worth giving them Jrue, unless they wanted to give us their 1st round pick, which they aren't going to do.
I would assume a 3rd team would be involved with this.

I have no problem getting Okafor for Ajinca and future protected first. Could care less about the real +- crap. he plays off the bench for a shitty team.
Change of scenario could do him well. And if he sucks, so what, assuming this future first isn't anything we should really worry about.

I'm all about having centers that make minimal money.

Dario Saric and Luwawu-Cabarrot are two intriguing young talents. Maybe Demps is fooling us and he goes full rebuild by dealing Jrue.

i dont see why philly would give up assets for Jrue, they can just sign him next season

If I had to sell AD on trading Jrue I think the way you sell him is "With Jrue we're a .500 team with no realistic moves to get any B or better players".

Either what they're doing is borderline tampering "we really want you here, remember when we tried to trade for you.", or they don't think they can convince him to come. Would anyone be shocked if Demps matched a max deal on Holiday?

At least we're maybe smart enough to not waste this year's pick. Of course we're not smart enough to try to maximize this year's pick.

If this trade isn't top 10 protected at the least I'm gonna cry. Demps is so scared to draft he would rather set the franchise back 5 years
