Great finish to the season, I was enjoying the crowd at the arena tonight. They got really loud and energetic in the 4th quarter. Shut those Red Rocket fan group up after they were being obnoxious all game.
Best part of the game was a late drive to the basket and Tyreke put one of the Rocket players on their arse and gave him "the look", the "you just got run over by a Reke Truck" look!
Next year if the injury bug gets squashed in the beginning of the season we should be looking at a 4-6 seed. Let it begin…

I don't think 4-6 seed is out of the question if we can move Gordon for something useful, say Gordon for Tyson Chandler. But I don't see that happening, and this team even when healthy did most of its damage to under .500 teams. Without any major additions by subtraction of Gordon, we're probably more in the 6-8 range.

Who of us really knows, but that sounds reasonable to me. Here's what we'll never know, though. And that's what would have happened and how Monty would have adapted (or not) with a relatively healthy roster throughout this season. Would he have found the rotations and "best five on the court at the right time" answers?

I'd say you have about a 40% chance to make the playoffs next year. For the 4 seed? MAYBE 5% shot at that and that's probably being generous.

Williams is going nowhere and even with Karl there's no way this Pelicans team is Jumping SAS, HOU, LAC, OKC, etc. Chances are you don't even make the playoffs next year. You will be better no doubt, but a 48 win Phoenix team missed the playoffs this year. I don't see the Pelicans winning 48 games even with a healthy roster unless there are major roster changes.

I see the Pelicans at their full strength being more like Phoenix or Dallas. A fairly solid team who is fighting for a playoff spot.

Dallas made the 8th spot by the skin of their teeth with a very solid team and a very good coach in Rick Carlisle.
George Karl would not be able to turn this current Pelicans squad into a 4 seed.
