Looks like Buddy, Reke, Galloway and two future draft picks for Boogie

Sacramento has agreed to trade DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans, league source tells @TheVertical.

Deal with the Pels includes guard Buddy Hield, and a 2017 first-round pick to the Kings for Cousins, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Sources: New Orleans is also sending the Kings a 2017 second-round pick (via Philadelphia) and Tyreke Evans in deal, league sources said.

Per woj

Kings have had recent discussions with New Orleans on Cousins, sources tell @TheVertical. Sac still debating Cousins' future internally.

I know it was mentioned in the Okafor trade thread but this deserves its own thread imo

What can we even offer them to make that happen?

No idea. Which is why I'm surprised Sac didn't just hang up immediately

Would probably have to start with unprotected 2017 and 2019 picks as well as Buddy and Reke.

if you can make this trade without giving up Davis (obviously) and Holiday.. u pull the trigger without hesitation. thkse 3 alone are an amazing foundation and finally can draw free agents to come here

Do you do it if you give up holiday and this year's first rounder unprotected?

What's Cousin's contract situation? Didn't he just sign an extension?

I don't even care if we give up holiday. He is a free agent anyway.

Just enough to make Boston offer more...Except Cousins could be radioactive. I like the idea of Cousins until I see him play and am reminded that he really is a knucklehead. Last game AD was enjoying how easy it was to get under his skin. And AD is hardly that type of player, it's just so easy. If it happens I'll give it a chance but especially if we still have Uncle Al and his lax ways in charge, it really would be a recipe for disaster.

Also, I'm guessing the centerpiece of a trade package would be Holiday and picks. If so that's the 2nd potential Holiday deal that is coming out in rumors. Granted they're not the strongest, most well sourced rumors, but it could say they are starting to fear losing Holiday and are looking to move him. This rumor could be saying more about Holiday than Cousins.

Seems like we would have to send Asik to make salary work in that trade right?

Well, there goes my Holiday theory

The only way Buddy and picks is enough is if the Kings don't want to pay Cousins a gajillion dollars (they may not) and Boston doesn't want to risk Cousins tearing apart what is currently a 2 seed. Also, since adding Horford Boston has a much better big situation than when they've been linked to Cousins in the past.

Likely not to happen, but goddamn that wouldbe the nastiest front court in the NBA.

Would this be the move that changes the trajectory of the Pelicans future? AD, Cousins......do we have enough money resign Jrue?

There is 2 ways this could go.

1. AD And Boogie will wreck the league and we will actually be formidable

2. Our franchise is so incompetent Cousins snaps and kills everyone.

What a time to be alive
