If McLemore is available, I would take him in a heartbeat with this in mind: trade Gordon and Vasquez for Rondo and Courtney Lee. I understand that Gordon's value is low, but it's not outside of the realm of possibility for Boston to be interested. He would be the lone big contract on the books. Jason Terry's bloated contract would still be there, but we at least take Courtney Lee's back in the trade. For Boston, they have a 4 guard rotation of Vasquez, Gordon, Bradley, and Terry which is pretty solid. They are set at 3 positions for the future with Jeff Green stepping in as a starter at either the 3 or the 4. They need to address their front court badly still, but that's okay. Bass and Sullinger are decent pieces for the future, and they will still be bad enough to get a good pick in 2014, not to mention they may send Garnett to LAC for 1st rounders.

Is this realistic or am I smoking crack?

I'm going to keep going because I have little else to do.

For the Pelicans, we have Rondo as the starter at PG. He's not a good jumpshooter by any means, and is coming off of an ACL injury, but he's still an All-Star without a doubt. His defense and ability to orchestrate an offense would be invaluable with Anthony Davis. McLemore, Rivers, or Lee could start at the 2. I could live with a rotation of Lee, Aminu, and Anderson at the 3.

Again, I ask, am I smoking crack?

So are all you Pelicans fans going to just ignore the part where dude is completely out of shape and looking terrible at a time when he should be doing his best to impress people? Are you all going to ignore the rumors that he doesn't really care about basketball? Or what about the fact that he isn't aggressive, disappears, and doesn't try taking over games?

His being out of shape would be the only reason he's available at 6 in a fairly shitty draft.

Seemed to care about basketball when he was tearing shite up at Kansas.

Tearing sh!t up? It was well known he disappeared during games and didn't have it in him to take control and be a leader. He is very much willing to sit back and let other players take over instead of him.

I would much rather take a guy like Oladipo. He isn't as skilled offensively, but he is a fierce defender, hard worker, and showed the heart and ability to take and hit clutch shots. The difference between these two players is the difference that makes Wade a champion and someone like Vince Carter a joke around the league.

I've already said multiple times that I think Dipo will be better, but landing a Vince Carter (whom you compare McLemore to) in this draft would be amazing.

Vince was an amazing talent, but he never really showed any heart or dedication to being as good as he could be. He never accomplished anything team wise in the league. He was all show.

Plus, I didn't compare Mclemore's talent to Vince's talent. Purely on talent, Vince had as much pure skill as anyone with the exception of maybe LeBron. I was comparing their heart and love for the game. Mclemore is showing signs of not really loving the sport of basketball.
