Pelicans coach Monty Williams lists Tyreke Evans as day-to-day. Evans "still sore," Williams says, but is here at practice in uniform

Per @ESPNSteinLine, Tyreke Evans is listed as day-to-day. He is at #Pelicans' practice and in uniform. Sounds like good news to me.

if i had to choose 1 player on the team to play through injury, it would be reke. he'll play.

Tyreke Evans calls himself a "gametime decision" for Monday night's Game 2. Monty Williams was more conservative and said "day to day"

Tyreke Evans is addressing media now and says "I feel better." Won't practice today but hints he's gonna try to find a way to play in Game 2

Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans says MRI on his left knee showed a deep bone bruise. He's a game-time decision for Game 2.

Like you said, if there's any way he can play, I have no doubt that he will.

Isn't that what kept Gordon out for 2 years?

I had something very similar in football, but it was on my elbow. Hurt like frick. Was going to make a tackle and two helmets sandwiched my arm on a collision. I think it was about 2 weeks before I could really use it without really bad pain. But I was a defensive end using my arms as a weapon on every single play shedding blocks, coming out of a stance, etc. I didn't have heavy duty medicine to help with it like Reke will, so I can see him playing. First home game in NOLA at the latest, but probably monday.

This seems like a pain tolerance thing for the rest of the playoffs. Given what we know about Tyreke, I think we know what he wants to do.

I took a fastball off of the bony part of my elbow back in high school. As soon as the adrenaline wore off, it was throbbing for a week. It only locked up the night it happened, but the pain was persistent.
