Pelicans have used the 3rd most lineups in the NBA

Saw this chart in an article about Portland and Golden St.

Sure, one reason for so many lineups has been the lack of good health. But Monty uses too many players. I don't think it's a coincidence that only a few playoff teams are on the lower half. Good teams figure out who their best players are and use them in different combinations.

I'm sure some of it is on Monty's weird rotations. But this team is still trying to find it's identity so it makes sense that there's a bunch of experimenting gong on. Most of those playoff teams you mentioned have players who've been there for a while and they know what works and what doesn't. We're still figuring that out.

I want to see monty gone but I'm not faulting him for this. we have a lot of new faces and are trying to figure out where they fit.

A good bit of those probably include people who aren't on our team anymore like Lance Thomas, Onuaku, Childress, and Amundson. We've had 18 players play so far with injuries getting all of our backups a decent amount of playing time.
