From an article on Greg Oden of course

quote:

After hosting several teams -- which included the two that met in June's NBA Finals, the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs, and other possible playoff teams such as the restructured and renamed New Orleans Pelicans -- for workouts in Indianapolis last week, Oden, now 25 years old, is close a decision.

Even if they stood pat with last year's roster, they should have been in the playoffs this year.

They would have been in that 7-12 tier that is fighting for a playoff spot, but instead of being 10-12 and needing to catch breaks to make the playoffs, I think you can argue they are now in the 7-8 range and the playoff spots are theirs to lose.

Eh AD without the chains on him, an improved AR25 from craptastic to who-knows, and a healthy-ish EG10 could have given it a go.

Can we still use the word "buzz" when referring to New Orleans professional basketball?

Does this mean we can't hashtag I'm in anymore?

The Nets have stolen it.

quote:

The Nets are starting a new marketing campaign featuring Garnett, Pierce, Kirilenko and Terry featuring the slogan, "Hello Brooklyn: We're in."

What's the plural form of I'm In? They might as well be calling themselves the Brooklyn Pelican if they think singular vs. plural is sufficient.

That's lame as hell, but makes sense. Their PR guy came from the Hornets last year. Just wish he was more creative.

No, you will be taken out back and beaten by Hugo if you do that.
