What about Ray McCallum? I see he's buddies with Jrue. Not a bad guard

Sounds like they want more of a proven vet if they bring back Frazier and let Douglas go.

Supposedly, they want a PF who can really rebound.

Jack or Lawson may be the best to lead the second unit.

David Lee knows the offense and can rebound.

Evans will be very very hard to move in reality. No value right now with his Medicals and attitude and style of play

That being he said sac town seems like the best fit LOL

I would say the only way Evans is off the roster is if they stretch him, and I still think that's a long shot. As for Asik, I think they value him more than the 29 other teams and they expect a bounce back year

I think the only move is they stretch Tyreke because they know they can get a guy they really want and need the cap space to get him. Otherwise, they just get bargain bin PF and bring back Frazier

I'm very much OK with keeping Asik especially with the current market conditions. As much as I fantasize about trading Tyreke for Gibson or Vucevic or McLemore or any of the other ideas I've come up with I agree lets just stretch him and go out and get a quality guard and forward to make this roster better.

It would be 11m over 7 years right? That's basically a min contract. That's what we need to do. Who do you think we can realistically get with that money?

That's sucks because they still have some nice rotation players left on the market

And none of these players are better than Tyreke.

I don't think they stretch Tyreke.

It would be 10.2 mil over 3 seasons. Basically, his cap charge gets reduced to 3.4 this year, giving up between 9-13 to spend, plus the Room. Would have 3.4 in dead money on the books the next two years, when the cap is projected to be 105-110 million, so thats just 3% of the cap. Won't kill you.

But, for a money conscious team, would it be better to give up picks to just dump him? You don't have to pay the money, period. Basically, they would be selling a future pick or two for 10 million and opening up space this year.

No good options here.

Can any of those players get on the court and play?

Then they are better than Tyreke

I would give up a second rounder to move him but definitely not a first though

Thanks for the info. Yeah you're right benson isn't going to want that dead money. That could also be the difference in finding those diamonds in the rough.

Hope someone will just take him. Looking bleak

I would hate it if they did too, but here is the counter logic:

1. It would save you 10 million dollars. It would be impossible to sell a mid to late 1st rounder for half that

2. You get a player you want into your program right now.

From a pure business standpoint, it makes sense. But I agree, I would hate it if they did it, even if it was lotto protected. But imagine Tyreke is unlikely to play next year - Can Dell just have 10 mil in dead money on his books and a huge hole in his roster when he is trying to make the playoffs?

I can't wait to see how this plays out
