The vast majority of back-to-backs this season have been splits, where the Pelicans beat the lesser opponent and lose to the better opponent. That trend will most likely continue.

10-7 means the home, away, and overall win percentages are a little better than the season average.

The recent streak of 9-2 may be a little deceiving. The schedule was quite easy during that stretch. The only difficult teams were against Toronto, Dallas, and Memphis... all of which have not been playing well recently. But credit to the Pelicans for not dropping an unreasonable number of games against those teams that they should beat. They are playing a bit better than they were.

I think 10-7 should be pretty accurate unless the Pelicans go on an unforeseen tear, or more teams rest players than expected.

9 of the games are against playoff teams... 8 of which are Western Conference playoff teams. Two more games are against Phoenix who is a pretty decent team right there in the mix for the 8th spot. 8 of the games are part of a back-to-back.

It's not an easy schedule, and I think 10-7 is optimistic yet realistic because the Pelicans are playing better ball as of late.

I think we can go 11-6 which put us right in the mix.

Well, season trends suggest 9-8. I say 10-7 because I think they are playing a bit better lately, and 11-6 might be a little too optimistic.

that must have taken a good amount of time to make that graphic, so i'm impressed

we aren't losing at home to the bucks. just beat them on the road. should be a W.

i'd also swap the Minny and GS home results

That matters when we're only talking about 17 games.

Has a 46-32 team ever missed the NBA playoffs?

I don't care if it's 2 games, you're quibbling over the result of one game, which in the NBA, anyone can win.

It would be similar to someone saying "I see the Saints winning 10 games next season" and you coming back and saying that it's very unlikely that they'll win 10, but you think they'll win 9.

No need to split hairs over splitting hairs. Prime Time did a pretty good job predicting the first 20 games of the season IIRC. It's just an outside opinion thoughtfully given and we should take it as such. Making the playoffs is going to be hard and require the team continuing to improve and play better than they've shown all year.

I wasn't quibbling. Just stating my reason for why I didn't see 11-6.

10-7 is very realistic considering that we love to drop games that are winnable and beat teams that are superior to us

I think if we can split with Golden State and Houston we will put ourselves in a very good spot

But we are literally that team that can beat anyone on any given night or lose to anyone on any given night

5-12? Wait did you think this was a prediction thread for Harden's assist to turnover ratio in the playoffs?
