With a brand new team.

I'm sorry..I just don't think Monty is the problem.

eta: Better yet..I don't think bringing in a new coach will solve the problem.

Monty might not be the problem...but he's certainly not the solution. Yes we lack a big bodied defender/rebounder to combat the deandre jordans of the league. And we lack an athletic skilled wing who can finish at the rim. i just dont see a way to acquire those pieces. We don't have that many more moves to make, our best chance of improving the teams performance over the next few years is a coaching change.

Then why talk about the team at all? Why watch the game?

Other than noise at home games, we really can't do jack shite about anything regarding the Pelicans.

You're missing the point

You can scream till the cows come home about how terrible monty is and how shitty his d is(which imo isn't the whole problem), but you're not gaining ANYTHING constantly bitching and moaning about it. It's just really fricking annoying to people who actually want to see the good things(which there are)

I for one hope monty can fix this when we finally gel(tons of fricking injuries). If not oh well we move on.

Hell monty isn't the whole problem

I don't think anyone is putting this 100% on Monty. But really, what has he done to prove he is worthy to be a NBA coach? He hasn't done shite. It is easier to cut ties with a coach than to shake up a roster.

Monty needs to go.

Tyreke should honestly be interested in the starting line-up over Gordon once he's fully healthy.

It may seem like bad vibes, but in the end it will be better for all parties involved. The Pelicans can move on with a more experienced coach and Monty can hone his coaching skills as an assistant somewhere else.

For you to say that, you must have lost some serious faith in Gordon as a starter.

It's only constant because the majority feel this way. It isn't just one poster that has some asinine agenda to be pushed or an axe to grind.

Like...?

No one ever said he is the whole problem, but do you think he isn't part of it?

I may be a fan of Gordon, but that doesn't stop me from objectively watching and analyzing the game.

It's really a shame, but Gordon simply isn't the player he once was.

FWIW, here's some threads with pre-season predictions. i think if we averaged them all out, most would say we finish around .500. last I checked, we are right around that and still very much in the playoff hunt.
