He was starting to play up to his normal numbers when he finally got healthy last year. If he can stay healthy he'll be good enough. I still can't see him becoming a trade asset, but just being able to dump him next offseason is all we need.

Had 19 points on 8-11 FG

That's not a typo either

And that's against a good France team

Hopefully his health will boost his confidence and offensive production.

I hope we'll see him shine with all the defensive perimeter players we've brought in this off season.

A video surfaced of Asik, a 7 foot center who plays in the National Basketball Association, dunking the ball in an actual game and this signals anything significant or good things to come?

Common now lol, now let's pat him on the back for barely getting his hand above the rim to dunk a basketball, but let's no start making assumptions that this could be the beginning of good things for Asik.

Let Asik prove himself to me and all the other haters that he can be a factor during the season. Until then, he is still a very useless player in this offense and because of that is on an even worse contract.

He looked thin and made a good move.

I mean common did you actually watch the video? He did that a few times when he was wide open for the Pelicans. He got up a few inches. He's not athletic in any sense but yes he actually can dunk the ball from time to time.

He honestly looked great last international competition.

For some reason he can't translate that to the regular season.

I'll still wait to believe it when i actually see it.

Losing a first round pick and then resigning this clown was the worst move for the franchise in years and I've never backed down from that statement since day 1. Until he shows he's worth over 10 million a year can I speak any optimistic thoughts on Omer Asik.

France's front line is pretty shitty, but I'm happy for the guy.

Cool to see he's staying in basketball shape this summer. Keeping our international guys from playing last year didn't seem to help with conditioning

It also got Ajinca blacklisted with the French national team and he apparently got the cold shoulder from guys like Tony Parker during the season over it.

Last year he had the back injury that kept him from playing with team turkey. Hence, the whole reason why he was out of shape and ultimately pulled a calf when the season started. I'm honestly not sure why that is so completely ignored when it comes to him.

But his hands are horrible. I'm not sure if that's ever going away

Spoiler Alert- That won't go away. Ever.

But you can concentrate on a what a role player does right. Or what he does wrong. When healthy, he is an elite rebounder and an elite screen setter. He is also a very good post defender.

If Solomon Hill, who is making more, can give us two elite attributes and one very good one, I will live with the 1 or 2 things he is poor at and smile

If we can get 8 and 8 from Asik then I think we would all consider that a win which I think a healthy Asik can do
