I was joking about the absurdity of this topic.

Honestly, I think it has less to do with Anderson and more to do with the fact that defenses have adjusted to the stretch 4 position. More and more teams are just putting larger wings at the PF spot and daring those 4's to go inside. The good stretch 4's have countered with the fadeaway jumper over the smaller players (e.g. Dirk and Aldridge). The 4's who haven't been able to hit those fadeaway jumper's have struggled more on the offensive side of the ball (e.g. Ryno & Love). In short, Ryno's health is a factor but I'm not sure even if his health improves he will be as effective as he was 2 years ago.

Ryno has missed an absurd amount of open 3s. A lot if his aren't very contested at all

The camera tracking says 62.6% of his shots were open (4-6 feet) to wide open (>6 feet). That number was 58.3% last year. LINK

One caveat to that is he is having to camp out further from the arc to get those open looks.

13-14
20-24ft 23.4% of shots
25-29ft 27.4%

14-15
20-24ft 21.7%
25-29ft 30.2%

I would cry if this happened. Cole is a lot better than Lin anyway

Ya those tracking stats ... I hate to sound like Charles Barkley, but I don't really trust them. There are 1000 other factors that go into making a shot.

For instance in the tight to very tight range (within 4 feet) Ryno FG% is 10% higher (in the mid 40's). While his highest 3% is wide open, Ryno's 2nd highest is "Very Tight". A lot of it doesn't really make a lot of sense.

Some of those wide open shots, as you alluded too, are probably wide open because they are not very good / smart shots. Or, they could be good shots, but if they are coming in transition, that doesn't really tell us anything besides Ryno, like most NBA players, is good in transition.

The Cavs would never do this, but I wanted to see if it was possible to get Love and Thompson

Ofcourse we would somehow convince Love to sign a contract with us

I really just want Thompson and maybe we can trade Love away

Honestly Anderson probably fits better next to Lebron than Love. Lebron is turning Love into Anderson, but he's got more to his game than being a big bodied 3-point shooter. Rebounding is one of his best skills, and he's not able to hit the boards too hard in Cleveland.

Thompson? Really?

He is a nice player. He can crash the offensive glass and rebound, but has no real game on offense and isn't a rim protector.

Plus he's a RFA looking for a payday (turned down ~$13M/year this fall) and is represented by LeBrons agency. He isn't an Asik replacement and he will looking for too much money to come off the bench.

Anderson for PPatterson and Ross in Toronto would be a solid deal for the Pels. Not sure why Toronto would go for it, but they are likely to blow it up. So who knows.

If Uriji is ready to put his stamp on the team, and it kind of sounds like they've hit that point, I wouldn't be surprised to see a fire sale. Uriji is no sucker, but Anderson being an expiring might be a better trade chip for him than those 2. I'd do that deal then hire Calipari and wait for Wall and Cousins to force trades to New Orleans.

Of all the people that read this OP, 45 people had a strong enough opinion that they were compelled to vote. Of those 45, not one single person upvoted. 0-45. Think about that. Think about how bad this is.
