What's the difference of winning one series if your going to get swept the next series by a "west" or better team

Well then why have playoffs at all? Shouldn't we just name the Warriors the 14-15 champions?

The board of governors took playoff seeding off the table this year.

I'm saying it would be good this season but next season when we probably have a higher seed and possibly a home court advantage it wouldn't help

That doesn't make any sense. We'd have an easier early round

I don't come to the Pelicans Talk often, but when I do, the first thing I notice is how shitty you are as a poster.

I looked at a map a while back because I was curious about this. They are a few miles more East than New Orleans, but I would think the NBA would want to help a superstar, rather than the Grizzlies.

If they would move a team East, I can't imagine that they'd move Memphis over New Orleans.

ETA: Memphis is 89.97 longitude and New Orleans is 90.06, practically equal in terms of eastern distance.

Yeah but those series add up. Look at the path any west team would has to take to the finals compared to any East team. you don't think playing 5+ extra games before the finals is unfair?

That's kinda reaching based on what's actually happened the last 2 years.

2014: Spurs played 3 more games than the Heat before reaching the Finals.

2013: Heat played 2 more games than the Spurs before reaching the Finals.

Good point...the series will really hit its peak once the Pelicans go down 3-0.

Playing the Warriors tough at Oracle for 2 straight games, yet you are so sure they can't beat Golden State. L-O-frickING-L. They beat them there in the regular season, and they took them to OT in another game. They are more than capable of taking them down in New Orleans.

What if the Warriors, Trailblazers, and Clippers are all hosting quarterfinal series at the same time?

TV time slots could be a problem here.

Nice moral victory...glad it makes you feel better.

Well...I didn't state definitively whether they could or couldn't, now did I? What I did hint at, however, is that not only the claim "the series doesn't start until the home team loses" a pointless adage, it is an incredibly stupid thing to hang your hat on given what it will mean to the Pelicans in the context of this series as their next two games are at home.

Less rustle will improve your comprehension.
