I thought since everybody is throwing out ideas, I'd try mine. 3 team trade with NO, ATl and Ind (LINK ). I'm not sure how to include draft picks, but I'm thinking it would look like this..

Hawks trade away Horford and Teague
Pacers trade away Green, Augustin and West (multi picks?)
Hornets trade away Vasquez, Gordon, Lopez and Aminu

Hawks get West, Vasquez and Lopez. 3 expiring contracts (option on Lopez) that lets them go after 2 major free agents this summer to put with Smith. Plus maybe a future draft pick from the Pacers (?).

Pacers get Gordon and Aminu. A good scorer that is a hometown hero and should help build some excitement locally. Should make a nice 3 man combo with Granger/Paul (whichever one they choose to feature/not trade away) and Hibbert. They could plug in Plumlee or Hansbrough at PF or find another option.

Hornets get Horford, Green, Teague and Augustin. Nice upgrade at Center with a reasonable contract. Should be a nice complement to Davis and Anderson. One year audition for Teague with a vet back-up. Green is a journey man, but has nice talent (fan favorite for dunks).

This would let the Hornets focus on the SF position in the draft and still have a ton of money for free agency (SG if Rivers doesn't come around). Next years team could look like..

Teague/Augustin or FA pick-up
Rivers or FA (Martin, Mayo or Tony Allen)
1st round pick (Bennett?)/ Green or Miller
Davis/Anderson
Horford/Smith

Someone suggested that Atlanta is looking to dump Horford, but you need an expiring contract to match (West is close). I think Horfod would make a good pair with Davis. He's young, accomplised (multi all star) and has a nice contract. I know alot of people really like Gordon, but we have a nice prospect in Rivers and the market will be loaded with free agent SGs next summer, if he can't step up.

No way the Hawks move on this. Jeff Teague and Horford and way more valuable than an underperforming Vasquez and Lopez. West needs a good PG to help create plays for him.

Hornets would be lacking a go to scorer. And I highly doubt the hawks would do that. They could get much better deals horford and teague

Hawks are targeting Paul and Howard this summer. They need to shed Horford's contract and Teague would not be needed if they got Paul. Having Bird rights to Vasquez and Lopez would be a hedge if they didn't land either one of their targets. Like I said they would also get a future pick from Indiana. But it would be a big risk. Ferry has started a rebuild, so it's really just a question of how much does he tear down.
